It is one of the religious place of Nepal. It is located in Gandaki zone at Gorkha district of Nepal. There is also a story about Manakamana. It is use to say that in the ancient time Ram shah used to rule Gorkha. He married Queen Ratnawati brought Lakhan Thapa as dowry to help her and her family.After some year Ram Shah died. And during that time people to follow sati custom so, Ratnawati has to go sati with her husband. Lakhan Thapa cried and try to stop her but didn’t instead of that she told him to build a temple named ‘MANAKAMANA’ where her soul will live and she also told him to be priest of that temple ‘MANAKAMANA’ where people go to fulfill their wish and desires. And other intresting thing is that is only one temple where the priest is of Magar caste and there is also cable car to MANAKAMANA. This cable car is from kuringtar in chitwan to MANAKAMANA in Gorkha district. It covers 3.1 k/m. Altogether 33 cable cars have been giving service to the people at a cheap rate. This services is also attracting the tourists to our country. To look this religious place tourists are visiting our country. And in whole Nepal it is only one the district where cable car is available and where tourists come mostly to look the beautiful view and to fulfill their wish.
